The Topping D900 pushes the boundaries of audio fidelity with an exclusive 32-phase DSM (Discrete Sigma Modulation) architecture. A true showcase of Topping's technological know-how, this top-of-the-range DAC combines digital precision, organic musicality and total flexibility to sublimate all your sources. It supports high-resolution sampling rates up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.
Topping introduces its flagship D900 DAC, packed with advanced technologies for ultra-high-fidelity audio and ultra-low noise. Fully discrete 1-bit PRSM DAC architecture. Proprietary I/V conversion for superior sound reproduction. Dedicated independent preamp circuit. High-precision 10-band PEQ.
Modern, angular design with a strong visual impact.
The D900 represents Topping's new flagship DAC, designed from the ground up to achieve the highest level of audio performance. Its refined, modern aesthetic perfectly reflects Topping's philosophy of musical quality.
Featuring a wide range of digital inputs, the D900 seamlessly connects to computers, CD players, digital transports, or game consoles, integrating seamlessly into any system.
Thanks to its dedicated preamplifier stage, the D900 pairs easily with active speakers or floorstanding speakers, while the high-precision volume control with 0.5 dB steps ensures smooth and precise adjustments.
PROPRIETARY PSRM TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of the D900 is Topping's in-house developed PSRM architecture, a fully discrete 1-bit decoding system based on an ultra-fast switching logic network and extremely precise voltage references. Topping tested over 20 different components and configurations before finding the optimal combination, capable of handling the signal at lightning speed without compromising sonic purity or power supply stability.
The voltage reference power supply plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of the analog output. While high-speed switching logic allows for rapid current adjustment, it can compromise the stability of the reference voltage, generating noise and distortion. To overcome this problem, Topping designed a purely resistive, noise-free reference system. This innovative combination of clean voltage regulation and high-speed logic allows the D900 to deliver extraordinary sound quality, achieving harmonic distortion of less than -140 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 131 dB.
INTUITIVE INTERFACE
A vibrant 2-inch color display provides real-time playback information. Three touch-sensitive buttons and a multifunction knob allow for quick and intuitive control. Users can easily switch between different display modes, such as track information, FFT spectrum analysis, or VU meter. Customization is further enhanced by the ability to choose from nine background colors to customize the visual interface to your taste.
NEW I/V CONVERSION
Topping has developed a new I/V conversion circuit specifically for the D900, aiming to achieve superior sound quality. This stage uses low-distortion op amps and carefully selected, ultra-low-noise discrete components, ensuring the PSRM voltage output remains crystal-clear and dynamic, for a truly immersive listening experience.
LDAC WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY
Thanks to the Qualcomm QCC5125 chip, the D900 supports Bluetooth 5.1 and high-resolution wireless codecs such as LDAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC.
HIGH-PRECISION 10-BAND PEQ
The newly developed PEQ system and accompanying desktop software allow for extremely precise adjustment of the frequency, gain, and bandwidth of each of the 10 EQ bands. You can save multiple custom profiles, apply different EQ curves for speakers and headphones, and easily import or export presets.
ULTRA-LOW JITTER
By using a CPLD to handle clock processing and optimize digital signal flow, the D900 achieves exceptionally low jitter, ensuring pristine digital reproduction.
ULTRA-HIGH-END COMPANION
The D900 was specifically designed to pair with the upcoming Topping A900 headphone amplifier. Soon to launch, the A900 will offer a full range of headphone outputs and top-notch specifications, creating an ultra-high-end pairing.
