The large-format VV sensor delivers superior dynamic range of 17 stops, capturing exceptional detail in highlights and shadows with a low noise floor that excels in low light. The Global Vision suite introduces revolutionary tools like Extended Highlights, which extends visibility into highlight detail for a more refined HDR finish or smoother roll-off in SDR, and Phantom Track, which uses the global shutter for GhostFrame and Frame Remapping in virtual productions. These features make the V-RAPTOR [X] versatile for filmmaking, commercials, documentaries, and VFX, with a shutter scan time of just 8 ms for impeccable motion fidelity.

The Canon RF mount with integrated lock ensures stability with heavy lenses and electronic communication for advanced autofocus, including on-sensor phase detection and face detection. Compatible with PL and EF mount adapters, it expands the optical options for professional filmmakers. Recording is in REDCODE RAW (HQ, MQ, LQ) for post-production flexibility, with options up to 8K120, 6K198 S35, and 4K240 17:9, as well as ProRes 4444 XQ up to 4K120 for hybrid workflows. It also supports simultaneous proxy recording in ProRes for instant editing, reducing turnaround time.

DSMC3 connectivity is state-of-the-art, with dual 12G-SDI outputs for discreet monitoring, USB-C for external drives, and 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi for remote control, 8K live streaming via RED Connect, and integration with Frame.io and AWS for direct uploads.
