The Tilta Camera Cage for ALEXA Mini/Mini LF (V-Mount) is a modular cage designed specifically for ARRI ALEXA Mini and Mini LF cameras, offering robust protection and versatile mounting options for professional cinematic productions. Crafted from CNC-milled aluminum and stainless steel, this cage provides a high-quality protective framework for the camera, featuring multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting points with ARRI anti-twist technology, ideal for attaching accessories such as monitors, follow focus systems, or wireless transmitters. The modular design allows for customized setups tailored to specific shooting needs, making it suitable for tripod, handheld, or gimbal configurations.

The cage includes an integrated V-Mount battery plate that connects directly to the camera body to provide power and video input/output options. The plate offers multiple power outputs, including (2) 14.8V 3-Pin Fischer with RS (3A max each), (1) 24V 3-Pin Fischer with RS (3A max), (3) 14.8V 2-Pin 0B Lemo (3A max each), and (1) 14.8V P-tap (3A max), as well as an HD-SDI input/output and a camera power cable. The plate is mounted on a sliding rail, allowing it to be moved away from the camera for access to buttons and ports, then repositioned close to the body for a compact setup. Pins on the top NATO rail of the plate communicate with the top plate and handle, transferring power distribution functionality to power accessories from any point on the cage.

The cage features NATO rails and standard ARRI Rosettes on both the right and left side arms, enhancing stability and providing additional mounting points for handles or other accessories. An EVF (electronic viewfinder) mount on the top plate allows for 360° rotation, enabling operators to customize the ALEXA Mini/Mini LF viewfinder angle for ergonomic use. Included top handle extensions allow the handle to extend over the rear of the camera, improving comfort during shooting in various positions. At the bottom, a 15mm LWS baseplate supports accessory mounting via 15mm rods (two 100mm and two 200mm rods included) and is compatible with a Tilta Standard dovetail plate for quick transitions between shooting setups.

The cage supports the addition of an optional Tilta Standard to ARRI Standard Multifunctional Baseplate, enabling mounting on an ARRI standard dovetail, ideal for professional rigs. The design includes an integrated shoulder pad, enhancing comfort for handheld shooting. The robust yet lightweight construction (total kit weight approximately 2 kg, depending on configuration) and compact dimensions (approximately 20 x 15 x 15 cm without accessories) make the cage easily portable and suitable for dynamic sets. The cage is not compatible with 26V V-Mount batteries but can be adapted for Gold Mount batteries with limitations, as the handle may interfere with a V-Mount to Gold Mount adapter.

The kit seamlessly integrates with the Tilta ecosystem, with optional modules like the Top Plate Power Connection Module and Top Handle Power Connection Module for advanced power distribution. The cage is designed to minimize cable clutter, ensuring a clean and professional setup.
