Atomos Ninja TX 5.2" Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder

The Atomos Ninja TX redefines the standard for monitor-recorders for video production professionals. This 5-inch device combines a compact, lightweight design with cutting-edge technologies, making it an indispensable tool for filmmakers, videographers, and content creators. Thanks to its versatility, it supports a wide range of workflows, from location recording to studio production to live broadcast. Weighing just 665 g (without battery) and measuring 190 x 130 x 75 mm, it is designed to be easily integrated into any shooting rig.

One of the key features of the Ninja TX is its advanced connectivity. Featuring 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs, the device is compatible with virtually any professional or mirrorless camera, supporting resolutions up to 8K at 30fps, 4K at 60fps and 1080p at 120fps, depending on the camera output. Cross-conversion between SDI and HDMI further expands workflow options, allowing the Ninja TX to be connected to external monitors, wireless transmitters or encoders for live streaming. Additionally, built-in NDI 6/HX3 support allows video streaming over standard networks, including Wi-Fi and mobile, with reduced bandwidth requirements, ideal for live productions and events.

The 5-inch HDR touchscreen display with 1500 nit brightness provides excellent visibility even in bright sunlight, with color accuracy that supports over 10 stops of dynamic range for Log, PQ and HLG signals. This allows you to accurately monitor images while shooting, making it easier to handle complex formats like Log and HDR. The Ninja TX includes a wide range of professional monitoring tools, including focus peaking, zebra, false color (including ARRI and EL Zone), waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and 3D/1D LUT support. These one-touch tools give you total control over focus, exposure, and framing.

For recording, the Ninja TX supports CFexpress Type B and external USB-C drives, offering flexibility for extended shoots or workflows that require quick turnaround. All major codecs are pre-activated, including Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, Avid DNx, and H.265/H.264, eliminating the need for additional activation. Additionally, the device supports a wide variety of Log profiles, including Sony SLog, Canon C-Log, ARRI LogC, Panasonic V-Log, Nikon N-Log, and many more, ensuring greater dynamic range and flexibility in post-production.

Built-in Camera-to-Cloud (C2C) connectivity is a game-changer for modern workflows. With the Ninja TX, you can upload video files directly to platforms like ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, and Dropbox, eliminating time-consuming data transfers and copying. AirGlu technology allows for timecode syncing via RF or Bluetooth, making the Ninja TX an ideal hub for multi-camera productions. Additionally, the device features a redesigned cooling system that makes it quieter and cooler than previous models, with three selectable fan modes: Silent, Run-and-Gun, and Studio.

The Ninja TX also introduces a robust locking system for HDMI and USB-C cables, with adapters included to ensure secure connections while shooting. Two USB-C ports allow for simultaneous connection of external drives, calibration devices, or accessories, while support for USB-C Power Delivery allows for power from compatible sources, such as power banks or wall adapters. The new Linux-based AtomOS operating system offers faster performance, over-the-air updates, and an optimized user interface.
