Large Format Cinema Sensor
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G camera's large format sensor offers incredibly flexible options for aspect ratios, lenses, and a variety of other camera functions. and distribution formats, allowing you to create distinctive content of the highest quality. The entire sensor area of the 12K LF produces a stunning open-gate image in 3:2 format and allows you to shoot anamorphic and distribute in a range of aspect ratios with de-squeeze factors of 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 1.66, 1.8 and 2x. You can also use the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G to capture 4K, 8K or 12K using the entire sensor without a crop, maintaining the lenses' full field of view. The 12K LF models also feature a 9K Super 35 mode for full compatibility with classic cine lenses.
High-End Body Design
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G is designed to meet the demands of any high-end production.
The evenly balanced body is constructed with a durable magnesium alloy chassis and lightweight polycarbonate/carbon fiber composite shell for quick movement on set. There's a fold-out 5" touchscreen for reviewing footage and accessing camera settings, as well as a dedicated assistant station with a 5" LCD and full camera controls. Standard LEMO and Fischer connectors allow for remote camera control and power to lens motors and other accessories. It also features 12G-SDI output, 100G Ethernet, USB-C, XLR audio, and soft-touch backlit buttons.
Optional B4 Broadcast Lens Mount
Add a Blackmagic Design B4 lens mount, available separately, to access both the speed of fast broadcast servo zoom lenses and higher frame rates.
The 4.6K B4 16:9 crop format supports frame rates up to 240 fps, making it ideal for fast-paced sports shots.
Interchangeable Lens Mounts
Different projects require different lenses, which is why the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G features an interchangeable lens mount. This model includes an ARRI PL mount that can quickly be swapped for the included Canon EF mount or a B4 or ARRI LPL mount, available separately. This means you can work with PL or LPL cinema lenses or EF autofocus photographic lenses, making the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G compatible with a wide range of professional lenses. Use modern, high-speed lenses for sharp, precise images in one shot, and then shoot a period drama with vintage photographic lenses in the next. Each lens mount features contact pins for reading lens metadata, useful for monitoring and use in post-production.
Multiple Formats
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G's large format sensor offers maximum flexibility in terms of aspect ratios, lenses, and delivery formats. The full-frame sensor area enables an exceptionally high-quality 3:2 open-gate image, allowing for easy recomposition in post-production. Alternatively, you can use the large sensor area to shoot anamorphic and distribute the result across a range of aspect ratios with de-squeeze factors of 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 1.66, 1.8, and 2x. Additionally, you can shoot 4K, 8K, or 12K using the entire sensor without cropping, maintaining the lenses' full field of view. 9K Super 35 modes with 4, 3, and 2 perforations are also available for full compatibility with classic cinema lenses. All this allows you to create distinctive content with the highest quality.
Monitoring Camera Monitoring and Control
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G lets crews work faster on set with multiple monitoring options. The fold-out monitor features a large 5" HDR touchscreen on one side and an external color LCD status display on the other. The screen can even be rotated and folded into the camera. On the right side of the camera, there's a dedicated focus puller station and an assistant station with a second 5" HDR touchscreen, allowing crews to work around the camera without the need for external monitors. Plus, with a 1500 cd/m² display and removable sunshade, it's always visible, even in bright sunlight. On-screen overlays show recording status and parameters, a histogram, frame guides, and more.
Blackmagic RAW Capture
Blackmagic RAW is a revolutionary format designed to capture and preserve the quality of your camera's sensor data. Blackmagic
RAW files store camera metadata, lens data, white balance, digital slate information, and custom LUTs to ensure image consistency on set and during post-production. Constant quality options lock in the quality level, allowing compression to adapt to replicate the detail in the scene. Constant bitrate encoding options are designed to deliver the best possible images with predictable, consistent file sizes. The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G records to the optional 8TB Blackmagic Media Module, allowing you to capture over four hours of Blackmagic RAW in 12K or an impressive 20 hours in 4K.
Industry Standard Connections
The wide range of industry standard connections on the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G makes it perfect for high-end film production.
The front panel 7-pin LEMO and 3-pin Fischer connectors provide start/stop recording and 24V power, making them ideal for connecting built-in accessories like focus motors. Power to the camera is provided by a standard 8-pin 24V LEMO connection, with a 2-pin 12V LEMO connection on the rear panel for low voltage accessories. This allows you to power accessories directly from the camera without the hassle of external cables. You also get two independent 12G-SDI outputs for monitoring on two separate monitors with different overlays, as well as 100 Gbps Ethernet for syncing media with Blackmagic Cloud.
Built-in optical low pass filter
High frequencies found in synthetic materials like fabrics or LED matrix video walls can cause interference with today's ultra sharp lenses and high resolution sensors. Using an optical low pass filter minimizes this interference, resulting in less moiré and aliasing.
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G camera includes a high performance optical low pass filter that is perfectly matched to the sensor. The OLPF also incorporates an updated IR filter that improves far red color response. This, combined with Blackmagic RAW processing for URSA Cine, preserves critical color and detail for new levels of image fidelity.
Built-in ND filters with color balancing
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G features high quality ND filters that let you quickly reduce the amount of light entering the camera. Designed to match the colorimetry and color science of the camera, the 2-, 4- and 6-stop filters provide greater latitude even in challenging lighting conditions. IR filters are designed to uniformly filter both optical and infrared wavelengths, eliminating IR contamination in images, a common problem with many ND filters.
URSA Cine ND filters are true optical filters with a precision mechanism that quickly positions them as you rotate the ND filter ring. Filter settings can also be displayed on the LCD screen as an ND number, stop reduction, or fraction.
High Performance Recording Media
The URSA Cine camera line features ultra-fast, high performance Cloud Store technology, which lets you use the included 8TB reinforced Blackmagic Media Module or a 16TB module available separately. It's like having a Cloud Store Mini built right into the camera, with high-speed storage that lets you record at full resolution and frame rate for hours and hours.Access files directly via high speed 100G Ethernet. Modules can be easily removed from the camera and loaded into a Blackmagic Media Dock for transferring media over the network or to the Blackmagic Cloud for instant global collaboration. You can also record using existing CFexpress cards or the included Blackmagic CF Media Module, which features dual CFexpress card slots.
High Resolution, High Frame Rate Capture
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G can record 4K, 8K, Super 35 9K and incredibly detailed 17K, giving you the capabilities of multiple cameras in a single camera body. Capture up to 100 fps in 12K 12,288 x 6480 17:9 or 120 fps in 12K 2.4:1 widescreen.
Higher frame rate capabilities include 144 fps at 8192 x 5360, 180 fps at 8192 x 3408, and even 8K 2.4:1 widescreen at an impressive 224 fps at 8192 x 3408. Blackmagic Design combines these flexible frame rate and resolution options with incredible motion rendering and smoother edges in 8K and 4K, even at lower frame rates. This 100G Ethernet model offers even higher frame rates when using a B4 lens mount and outputting SMPTE-2110 live video.
Sixth Generation Color Science
Blackmagic Generation Color Science provides a variety of image enhancements, including incredibly accurate color reproduction for natural, beautiful skin tones. It includes 3D LUTs for film, extended video and video gamuts, allowing you to customize the output of the processing pipeline by loading your own LUTs.
These LUTs are applied after the color corrector, so any corrections overlay the full color gamut of the film. Choose different color spaces using preloaded LUTs, including Rec. 709, 2020 and PQ, and apply custom color gamut compression. URSA
The Cine line now features two 3D LUT processors for discrete outputs and an additional 3D LUT dedicated exclusively for SMPTE-2110 output.
Live Sync with DaVinci Resolve
URSA Cine 12K LF 100G supports the creation of a small H.264 proxy file in addition to the original camera media while recording. This means the small proxy file can be uploaded to Blackmagic Cloud in seconds, making the media available in the studio in real time. The ability to transfer media directly into the DaVinci Resolve media bin while editors are working is revolutionary and has never been possible before. This means any editor, anywhere in the world, can access the footage. If you have multiple cameras, the new multi-source feature in the DaVinci Resolve cut page will show every camera angle in a single view.

Live Broadcast Direct to Clients
Now you can broadcast live from film sets. The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G features a built-in hardware streaming engine that supports RTMP and SRT streaming to all major platforms or directly to clients. Simply connect to the internet via Ethernet, high-speed Wi-Fi, or even a 4G or 5G phone for mobile data. Streaming is built right into the camera, so you can see streaming status and data rate in the viewfinder and LCD. If you want to create a wireless connection to your video control room or studio, you can stream to a Blackmagic ATEM Streaming Bridge, an H.264 decoder that converts the video stream to video.

Connect via cellular data, high-speed Wi-Fi or Ethernet
When live streaming or uploading to the Blackmagic Cloud, you can connect and use an Apple or Android phone to get an internet connection via cellular data. Simply plug your phone into the USB-C port and URSA Cine will automatically configure itself for cellular data. It also works with the latest high-speed 5G phones, as well as 4G. You can also connect via high-speed Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet using the 10G Ethernet port. With live streaming built into the camera, you have the solution you need to allow clients and post production to monitor your footage from anywhere in the world. This is a truly global post-production solution that, when combined with Blackmagic Cloud, lets you create amazing teams of creatives working together.
High Resolution Viewfinder
The URSA Cine 12K LFThe 100G supports the optional Blackmagic URSA Cine EVF for precise and easy location and handheld shooting. It features a built-in high quality 1920 x 1080 pixel color OLED display with a built-in proximity sensor and a 4-element glass diopter for incredible accuracy with a wide focus range. A built-in digital focus table ensures perfect focus setup in the viewfinder. Critical status information, such as frame guides, can also be displayed. The URSA Cine EVF is easy to attach: it simply mounts to the included viewfinder bracket and connects to the camera via a single USB-C cable.
The viewfinder can be positioned in multiple ways and comes with two different eyepieces.
Industry-Standard Batteries and Power Supply
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G features an 8-pin LEMO power connector on the rear of the camera that's compatible with both 24V and 12V power supplies. This makes it easy to use the camera with existing power supplies, batteries, and accessories. The front of the camera includes additional LEMO and Fischer power connectors for powering lens motors and other accessories. Power the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G using a separately sold power supply or a Gold Mount, V-mount or B-mount battery plate, so you can use a wide range of high voltage batteries from manufacturers such as IDX, BLUESHAPE, Core SWX, BEBOB and more.

With the advanced Blackmagic OS, you get an intuitive and easy to use camera operating system based on the latest technology. Blackmagic OS is a true modern operating system where all camera functions run independently for smooth control, and the camera powers on virtually instantly. The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G features the same controls and menus as other Blackmagic Design cameras, so you can easily switch between cameras on set. The interface uses simple tap and swipe gestures to adjust settings, add metadata and view recording status. You also have full control over advanced camera features, such as on-screen focus and exposure tools, 3D LUTs, HDR, metadata entry, timecode, Blackmagic RAW settings and more.
Digital tablet for quick metadata entry
The URSA Cine12K LF 100G features a digital tablet that lets you quickly add metadata to any shot. Simply swipe left or right on the built-in touchscreen to display the digital tablet. As you start and stop recording, the tablet can automatically advance shot numbers, eliminating the need to manually enter them for each shot.
You can also set reel numbers to automatically advance each time you format a card. Lens metadata can be automatically populated or entered manually, along with production-specific information, technical information and more. All metadata is saved with the files for use during editing and color correction in post-production.
Wireless Camera Control via Bluetooth
If you place the camera on the end of a boom or gimbal, you can get full control over Bluetooth from up to 30 feet away. You can download the Blackmagic Camera Control app for iPad or use third party apps like Bluetooth+ or tRigger on iOS and Android devices. There's also a free developer SDK with sample code available on the Blackmagic Design developer website, so you can create your own remote camera control and digital whiteboard solutions. Imagine creating an app that can sync timecode and trigger simultaneous recording on all your cameras.
Support for 13 popular languages
The URSA Cine 12K LF 100G is designed for worldwide use and supports 13 different languages. When setting up the camera, you can choose to work in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. It's easy to switch languages, so you can share the camera with other crew members when traveling around the world. When you change languages, all on-screen overlays, setup menus, and monitoring information will be displayed in the selected language.

Blackmagic Design URSA Cine EVF
Add the high resolution URSA Cine electronic viewfinder to your Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 12K or PYXIS 6K camera for crisp, clear images, making it easier to shoot in any environment. The electronic viewfinder (EVF) features a 1920 x 1080 pixel color OLED display that supports up to 60 frames per second (fps). It displays the image with status information, frame guides, and even a built-in focus table to help you get the sharpest focus. It mounts to the top of the camera using the included mount, which includes a 15mm rod clamp, a 19mm cross rod, and two 15mm carbon fiber rods. An indicator light provides a clear view of when the camera is in use. A built-in proximity sensor only activates the EVF when in use to conserve power, and it features a 4-element glass diopter that offers a range of adjustments. The EVF connects to the URSA Cine 12K or PYXIS 6K via a USB-C cable, which is also used for firmware updates. Two different rubber eyecups are also included for added comfort and size options.
NOTE: The Blackmagic URSA Cine Grip is required to mount the electronic viewfinder on Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K and Blackmagic PYXIS 6K cameras.
